LIFT UPS, an OFF LINE UPS, comprises three main components – Charger, Inverter, and Batteries. Tailored for elevators predominantly using three-phase power, this UPS features three-phase input and output. It efficiently takes in three-phase supply, simultaneously charging batteries. During a power outage, the inverter activates battery mode, delivering three-phase output to sustain the load.

The transition occurs within 15-20 seconds, contingent on the variable frequency drive (VFD/V3F) configuration used by the elevator. ACE has recently developed a system ensuring near-zero transfer time from utility to battery mode for any VF drive. Upon utility restoration, the elevator seamlessly shifts back to mains supply, initiating battery charging. Backup time can be extended from 2-3 hours to up to 8 hours, depending on battery size and quantity.
